Cammie and Dan were in Atlanta looking for a place to move to when they move next month. We went down on our day off to spend some time with them. We went to the aquarium, and tried to go to a few other spots, but everything was very crowded. It is Spring Break in Georgia so that probably explains the crowds.
We were able to stop by a Civil War battlefield near their new place. It was a pretty good set-up and visitor center.
The highlight of the day though was going to see the Atlanta Braves play the Philadelphia Phillies. It was the Braves' home opener so there was a lot of fun ceremonies prior to the game including the unveiling of the 2010 Wild Card banner and Bobby Cox returning to throw out the first pitch. During the game we saw Chipper Jones get his 2,500 career hit.
I imagine we'll see a lot more Braves games over the next few seasons, and that's ok with us. Turner Field is great and the Braves fans are fun to be with. The Braves won the game, beating Cliff Lee, and we had a lot of fun. It was a good time with Cammie and Dan.
