We've been having some great weather here. Last weekend we were in the mid 80s even. So when Lisa and I planned a hike, we thought we would be fine. The forecast said the day would be slightly cooler, but still in the low 60s for the Smokies. When we drove to the trail head of Grotto Falls though, we found ourselves back in winter. The temperature in the car said it was 34 degrees. Frost and even some snow covered the trees and the trail. Since the hike to Grotto Falls requires you to walk through the stream a few times, we thought that would make it even colder so we passed on the hike for this week.
It was a part of the Smokies that we hadn't been through before, so we still had a good time driving through.
Hopefully we return to the nice Spring weather so we can plan the hike again.

I think you've turned southern and lost your Utah roots. A little snow in March never hurt anyone.
