Cleveland, OH

After the Cubs game on Monday, we drove from Pittsburgh, PA to Cleveland, OH.  Cleveland was very rainy.  Still, we went to the lakeshore.  This is Lisa at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  We did not go in because it was $22 each and we weren't that interested.  The sign says Cleveland is the birthplace of Rock and Roll.  Really it was just the first place the term Rock and Roll was used.  Seems like a stupid reason to make a sign.

The Cleveland Browns Stadium is also on the lakefront.  You can see it in the background.  

We walked around downtown a little and had lunch at the House of Blues (don't get the cornbread).  Then we saw it, the real reason Lisa agreed to go to Cleveland with me.  Lebron took up the whole building.  Lisa was happy!  I just wondered why the window at his nostril didn't put up green blinds.

After convincing Lisa the building would still be there later in the day, she agreed to go to Progressive Field with me to see the Indians play.  Monday's game was rained out so we were lucky enough to get a double header!  And the rain stopped about an hour before the first game!

Our seats were 4th row behind the dugout.

We're not Indians fans so we were some of the only people smiling there.

We were able to see future Hall of Famers Pudge Rodriguez and Omar Visquel.

The Texas Rangers won both games.  The best part of the night though was winning a Rick Vaughn bobblehead.  (You should be ashamed if you didn't know he is Wild Thing in the Major League movies.)

On Wednesday we drove home but made a quick detour to Michigan.  That is a new state for Lisa (who is ahead of me now by Washington).  Also, number 14 for the year to tie me with my mom...for now.

We have been spoiled this year to see so many pro games.  I really need to move to a city with a pro team so I can waste all my time and money at the games!
