After our weekend of work requirements, Lisa and I took some vacation time to spend even more time in Chicago. On Monday we started off in the Lincoln Park Zoo. It was a good zoo and the best part is the zoo is free!
The coolest things at the zoo were the birds. This bird, and one other, flew straight at Lisa's head in the open-air bird exhibit. I can only assume they saw her hair and thought it was a moving nest. It was very funny....for me.
We didn't actually go in Wrigley Field though, but rather to the rooftops of one of the buildings across the street from Wrigley Field. People have always watched games from the rooftops, but in the last 10-15 years they have really become popular. My friend from work used a connection he knows to get us in for free. As you can see, the view is just as good as it is from most outfield seats in other ballparks.
The accommodations are great! It was all-you-can-eat also! Burgers, dogs, pizza, ice cream, sodas, Italian beef, pulled pork sandwiches, and pie! Lisa told me that after our two baseball experiences on this trip, she'll never be able to go back to "regular" seats.
A real rarity this season, the Cubs actually won! 14-1! It was an awesome experience and we were able to cross this off of our sports bucket list. I recommend taking this chance if you ever get it!
