Last week we spent some time in the Great Smoky Mountains. It has been hotter than normal here lately so it is still very much summer, even in the mountains. One of our favorite things about the Smokies is how green it is. We took advantage of the late summer and hiked to Laurel Falls. It's not a particularly difficult hike and the trail is paved the entire way. There wasn't a lot of water flow because it hasn't rained for a few days, but it was still pretty and we had a good time.
