Lisa completed her second half marathon today with a time of 2:54:35.
After Lisa ran her first half marathon in Savannah last fall, a member of her team was inspired to start running. Her name is Jessica and she's shown in many of the pictures below with Lisa. Jessica had not done much running prior to this. Over the past few months, and especially over the past few weeks, Lisa has encouraged her and even dragged her on runs to help her get ready for the Knoxville race. Lisa was also supportive and stayed with her for the full race today. Jessica kept telling Lisa how she never would have been able to accomplish this without her!
The Knoxville course is much harder than the Savannah course due to the number of hills. She ran through much of downtown, West Knoxville, and the University of Tennessee campus. The race actually ended at the 50 yard line of Neyland Stadium.
Congrats Lisa!
